Rico's Pizza Eating Contest

The Rico's Pizza Eating was a big success and I believe it will become an annual event that will benefit the Benevolent Fund in the future. There were lots of competitor's throughout the day and some impressive pizza eating. I want to thank Capt. Pearson and Station 12 for bringing out the fire trucks and interacting with the public, portraying the SCFD in a positive light ( thanks Lt. Ballance and crew ). The public really liked it. I would also like to thank those poor souls who are probably sitting at home regretting their decision to participate in this fund raiser, never the less, they did a great job. So thank you Lt. James Mattera, Max Jones, Jeremy Rice, Joe Stadtherr, Tim Rogers, and new hire Chris Merritt... Great Job!!! And if you were wondering, there was a tie for 1st place for the firefighters. So please congratulate Joe "Dirt" Stadtherr (14) and Jeremy "Wookie" Rice (8) on their big win. Both Stations will enjoy 3 pizza dinners from Rico's. To all others, start training for next year...
